Bacaro is a typical local bar/tavern (the oldest has over 500 years!), distinguished by a warm and casual atmosphere, a good selection of wines, especially those ones from Verona (Valpollicella, Bardolino), Treviso (Raboso, Prosecco) and Friuli Region (Ribolla, Friulano), spritz cocktails and “cicchetti”, special local finger food, freshly prepared and renowned among the locals for its variety and creativity. Every Venetian has a personal favourite “bacaro” –  a place feeling like (the “extension” of a) home, with its own original way of preparing the cicchetti-finger food such as baccalà mantecato or sarde in saor, with fresh ingredients from the Rialto market.
